What is Saccharin?
Saccharin - also referred to as benzosulfamide, is an ionically bonded artificial sweetener used in many food products such as baked foods, salad dressings, jams, toothpaste, mouthwash, and chewing gum.
While study after study has shown that the average 1 oz per year intake of Saccharin that most humans that use the product does not cause cancer, why would you want to intake a chemical sweetener when sugar does just fine, and can be found in very natural forms? Study after study as also shown that in higher doses, Saccharine WILL cause cancer in lab animals. One argument is for diabetics. For type 2 diabetics, proper diet and exercise can completely eliminate their lack of insulin efficiency.
Saccharin is a man made chemical sugar substitute. There is no reason for a healthy person to ever want to use this product. There is also no reason a person trying to loose weight should need this product.
What studies have been done to test the accumulated effect of the dozens and dozens of artificial and chemical products we take in are? By themselves, most seem safe, but what about combined and accumulated with all these other products? The poisons found in sodas, the endless amounts of preservatives?
It is simply amazing what we put into our bodies.
